About Some Peculiarities of Expressive Syntax in English Popular Press

The article is devoted to the problems of expressive syntax and its role in transmitting author’s communicative intentions. According dominating cognitive-discourse paradigm at present, scientists are interested researching manifestations perception transmitted information their impact on form presentation. Due mass media contemporary world, it seems great importance reveal way they influence collective mind readers. In this connection plays a very important process communication via text. main aim research analyze functional linguistic peculiarities texts as means author-reader interaction. conducted basis two English magazines. topics cognitive readers play choosing proper required be considered system. results analysis show that popular press parenthetical phrase serving give comments, define terms toponyms, or add extra information, satisfying readers’ curiosity. result also shows due different attitudes, types creation (individual collective) segments targeted audience, National Geographic articles, unlike Economist ones, contain more variable syntax.
